In the winter of 2017, Joy and Rhema finally found a name for themselves that could unite other bass ends. Bends started as just a fun little joke/hype between them since they’ve marched so many seasons together as top bass and bottom bass, but as time went on, they felt like they could create something more impactful on the marching arts. 

The reason why they created these shirts is to hopefully have people from all around the country wearing it and spreading awareness of the new culture that bends is. They are fundraising for their last season together in DCI (Drum Corps International). Joy and Rhema are marching top and bottom bass at Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps.
