This campaign funds my travel to Budapest on a mission trip with Crosspoint United Methodist Church. Crosspoint has partnered with Soul Care—an organization that provides support and care for missionaries worldwide—to host a retreat this October for the missionaries that we support in Europe and Africa. Crosspoint conducts retreats for its missionaries annually that rotate between three different regions of the world: Europe/Africa, East Asia/Pacific Islands, and North/South America. Some of these missionaries live in places where very few local Christians exist, and this absence of a spiritual community can become taxing mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. These types of retreats focus on rejuvenating the spirits, hearts, and minds of our missionaries. So, every three years we get the opportunity to continue uplifting and building relationships in-person with our missionaries in a given region.

As a videographer, I will be filming interviews with the missionaries and capturing their stories. At Crosspoint, we display a photo with our “Missionary of the Week” slide, but these interviews will allow the missionaries themselves to connect with the greater Crosspoint family and share their stories from the field. I will also be taking photos and helping to provide hospitality to the missionaries, or simply encourage and spend time with them. This will be my third time attending this type of mission trip with Crosspoint, and we have been so encouraged by the feedback from the missionaries in how this retreat was exactly what they needed. I love being able to be a part of that! I’m so excited to be a part of something that is so much bigger than myself.
