Young Athletes 4 Change, in partnership with Stamford Academy, have collaborated with an incredible group of local teenagers who spent the last 4 weeks creating a T-Shirt campaign and call to action entitled 'Lifeline TALK'. The goal of the campaign is youth supporting youth to spread awareness about the mental health issues most impacting their community and to advocate for teen suicide prevention. July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month! The youth-designed logos include the phone number to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. 25% of proceeds will go to Vibrant Emotional Health, the organization responsible for this valuable resource.

The young designers participated in athletic educational workshops geared towards unpacking and identifying informed perspectives on some of the larger systematic injustices that young people in our country are currently facing. They then worked together to choose a cause to advocate for, to design a logo, create a mission and action plan, brand a slogan, launch an online clothing campaign and present their product on multiple media platforms as well as to staff executives at the Mitchell & Ness headquarters in NYC. Lifeline TALK aims to utilize the messaging and visuals of the T-shirt designs to spread awareness and fundraise for organizations taking major action on these issues.
